Svitlana, how do you define leadership in modern business?

For me, leadership is first and foremost about responsibility. Not status, not position, and not external attributes, but the willingness to make decisions and take responsibility for their consequences. A leader is someone who can take on complex challenges, guide a team, and maintain clarity of thinking even in uncertain conditions.

Modern business requires flexibility and strategic thinking. A leader must be able to adapt quickly, make decisions efficiently, and at the same time preserve the values on which the company is built.

What key principles form the foundation of your management approach?

The first principle is systems thinking. I always view business as a living organism where every element is interconnected. It is impossible to develop one department while ignoring the others.

The second principle is discipline. It is discipline that allows strategies to be implemented not just in words, but in real actions.

And the third is responsibility. I firmly believe that a leader does not blame circumstances or people, but instead looks for solutions and takes ownership of the result.

How do you build a growth strategy in times of instability?

Instability has become the new normal. Therefore, strategy must be flexible. I always plan multiple development scenarios and think in advance about how the business will respond to market changes.

It is crucial to have a clear vision while remaining ready to adjust the path. Strategy is not a rigid plan, but a living management tool.

You often speak about influence. Why is this aspect so important to you?

Influence is the ability to change the reality around you. Today, someone may hold a high position but have no real influence, while another person may have no formal title yet lead people naturally.

For me, influence is trust. When your team, partners, and clients trust you, you gain the ability to change processes, approaches, and even entire industries.

Which qualities do you consider essential for leaders of the future?

First and foremost — emotional intelligence. The ability to listen, understand, and feel people is becoming critically important.

Second — strategic thinking. Future leaders must be able to see several steps ahead.

And third — the ability to learn. The world is changing too fast, and those who succeed are the ones who are ready to continuously grow and reassess their beliefs.
