From five-star residences in the heart of Astana to landmark properties in Almaty, the country’s most prestigious hotels are backed by influential entrepreneurs, major development firms and high-profile financial structures.

Rixos Almaty

Room rates: starting from 204,000 KZT per night

The five-star Rixos Almaty is part of the international Rixos Hotels portfolio founded by Turkish businessman Fettah Tamince, president of Sembol Construction and one of the key figures behind the luxury hospitality brand.

The Almaty property is owned by the Klebanov family together with business partners Liliya Kim and Sergey Kan.

Rixos Khadisha Shymkent

Room rates: starting from 229,500 KZT per night

The premium Rixos Khadisha Shymkent is linked to the business structures of Kazakh entrepreneur Kairat Boranbayev.

The building is owned by Capital Tower Development LLP, established by Esentai Tower Investments LLP. The company is controlled by Kairat Boranbayev together with Esentai Investments LLP. Its co-founders reportedly include Serzhan Zhumashov, Mehmet Erkan Erkek and Gursel Burak Oymen.

The Ritz-Carlton Astana

Room rates: starting from 150,809 KZT per night

The Ritz-Carlton Astana forms part of the business empire of Kazakh billionaire Bulat Utemuratov.

The hotel is registered under Astana Hotel Management LLP, which is controlled through Global Development LLP, a structure within the Verny Capital group. Bulat Utemuratov is widely regarded as the group’s key investor.

Royal Tulip Almaty

Room rates: starting from 126,000 KZT per night

Operating under the Louvre Hotels Group umbrella, the five-star Royal Tulip Almaty caters to VIP clientele, international business events and private functions. The property features fine-dining restaurants, an extensive spa complex, swimming pool and premium conference facilities.

According to publicly available sources, the ownership structure may be connected to Zharat LLP, El-Tair LLP, as well as businessman Almatbek Mykhanov and members of his family. However, no officially confirmed unified ownership structure has been publicly disclosed.

The St. Regis Astana

Part of the global Marriott International portfolio, The St. Regis Astana remains one of the capital’s most prestigious luxury addresses. The project was developed with the participation of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and MG Development.

The hotel is operated by Turion Investment Group LLP, while the ultimate owners through Mercury Properties LLP are Timur Kulibayev and Dinara Kulibayeva. Ownership stakes have previously moved between affiliated companies and foundations, including the Demeu Foundation.

Kainar Hotel, Shymkent

Room rates: starting from 65,000 KZT per night

The five-star Kainar Hotel is considered one of Shymkent’s more unusual premium hospitality projects due to its alcohol-free concept. The complex includes more than 60 rooms, a spa area with an indoor pool, fitness facilities and conference halls.

The property is managed by BC Kainar LLP, headed by Maksatbek Kurymbayev. The company’s ultimate beneficiaries are not publicly disclosed in open legal registries.
